The Bono Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC has been invited by the Ghana Police Service over an allegation against former President John Mahama.
The maverick politician is reported to have accused former President Mahama of plotting a coup with some foreigners.
A Police statement said he has been invited by the Accra regional command to report to them at 4pm today.
The development comes on the back of the arrest and prosecution of the lead campaigner of pressure group FIXTHECOUNTRY movement for saying he will stage a coup of the controversial E-levy is passed by government.
