LaLiga fans in Accra over the weekend had the opportunity to watch the mother of all derbies, the ElClásico at the Garage Lounge and Bar, East Legon by the kind courtesy of LaLiga, Supersport, IREVA Sports Agency, Offshore Pharmacy, Think Media and Rhythms Africa.
Two of the most celebrated clubs in the world had their fans cheering them on over the weekend for bragging rights as the two clubs fiercely fought for the available three points. Los Blancos ( The Whites) as they are affectionately called took no prisoners as they dispatched Barcelona by 3-1 in the first leg of the much-anticipated fixture of the season.
In attendance were some legends of the game; Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Fataw Dauda, Isaac Vorsah, Derek Boateng, players of Ghana’s premier league side, Dreams FC and players of Ghana Women’s League side, Berry Ladies. Musicians Gasmilla, Kwaisy Pee and a host of other influencers and celebrities from the Ghanaian Sports Media were all present at the event.
Other high-profile personalities who also graced the occasion were the ambassador of the Spanish Embassy H.E. Javier Gutiérrez, his staff and the CEO of Berry Ladies, Dep. Executive Director of the National Service Scheme in Ghana, Mrs Gifty Oware-Mensah and Senior Partner Manager ( Nigeria and Ghana) Twitter, Bernard Kafui Sokpe (MisterMeister).
The Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Javier Gutierrez in his welcome address noted the joy football brings to all and sundry. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the patrons who thronged the venue to watch the biggest fixture in Spanish football.
IREVA Sports Agency, organizers of the event were impressed with the number of people who turned up to enjoy the game after taking a break for a while after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking with Ghone TV, Frank Kwabena Owusu (Franky5), CEO of IREVA Sports Agency said he was happy with the turnout and also grateful for the presence of high-profile personalities at the event.
“I am very happy almost everyone we invited turned up and also grateful for the numbers after taking a break from the event as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
He also stated that the main purpose of the event was to create a wonderful opportunity for lovers of football to meet, network and build lasting relationships through football, which he believe was achieved at the event.
“ The best part of this event is to see people from all walks of life interacting and having fun as a result of football. You see, this is the beauty of LaLiga and of course football as a whole”.
IREVA Sports Agency has promised this is going to be a regular feature with the team going back to the drawing board to prepare for the next live viewing of the return leg of the ElClásico next year.
