Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has admitted two separate private members’ motions from the minority.
The first motion standing in the name of minority leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Bolgatanga Central MP Isaac Adongo, minority chief Whip Governs Kwame Agbodza among others is requesting for Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to present government’s debt restructuring programme to parliament for scrutiny.
The second one in the name of minority leadership, North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa among others is requesting for parliament to set up a committee to probe the construction of the national cathedral.
Commenting on the motions advertised on the order paper today, MP for Ngleshi Amanfrom Sylvester Tetteh accused the minority of springing a surprise on the house.
