Asante Kotoko have announced the departure of goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad and 10 other players from the club after their contracts were terminated by mutual consent following a challenging season.

The players include Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Nicholas Mensah, John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, Danlad Ibrahim, Moise Pouaty.

The Porcupines’ sixth-place position in the domestic top-flight league served as a wake-up call for the squad, prompting them to undertake this major roster adjustments by cutting off eleven players and adding new players.

Danlad, who joined Kotoko in 2016, struggled to secure a regular spot in the season, often being second or third choice behind Frederick Asare.

Danlad’s form declined, limiting his role at Kotoko, where he served as captain, despite his previous success in Ghana’s 2022 World Cup and U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Uganda international striker Steven Desse Mukwala has not renewed his contract with the club.

Asante Kotoko is evaluating their performance from the previous season and is determined to challenge for the top spot in the Ghana Premier League 2025/25 season.
