The Ghana Police Service has indicated its preparedness to handle the planned demonstration by the Democracy Hub Group from 21st to 23rd September 2024.
“The Ghana Police Service would like to assure the public that sufficient measures have been put in place to maintain law and order as well as ensure peace and security for the upcoming planned demonstration by the Democracy Hub Group, slated for 21st to 23rd September 2024”, the police administration assured in a brief statement.
The Ghana Police Service also added that they will provide further details on the security measures for the planned demonstration on Thursday, 19th September 2024.
However, an Accra High Court has placed an injunction on the planned 3-day demonstration by pressure group democracy hub.
The action by the court follows concerns raised by the Police over the venue selected by the group for their demonstration, the frontage of the jubilee House.
