The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) in press release have congratulated president elect John Mahama on his resound victory.
Part of the release believed the emphatic victory of John Mahama is the manifestation of the buy- in of the ideas he championed in his campaign seasons.
The conference also stated its readiness in supporting the incoming government to achieving the educational agenda of John Mahama.
The statement reads; “Your Excellency, we, members of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), would want to congratulate you on the resounding victory you secured at the December 2024 National Presidential polls. CHASS is of the greatest conviction that, the emphatic win is a manifestation of the buy-in of the ideas you championed in your manifesto by majority of Ghanaians. CHASS assures you of its readiness to support you and your incoming government to achieve the educational agenda you set out to achieve. Your Excellency, please accept our congratulations once again!”
During John Mahama campaign, he promised Ghanaians to revamp the free Senior High School policy to become attractive if elected.
He also promised free tuition for all first year tertiary students, free technical and vocational training education and expand the free SHS policy to the private senior high schools.
Coming January 7, 2025, president elect John Mahama will be officially inaugurated into office as the 6th president under the fourth republic of Ghana after a massive victory in the December 7th presidential election.
If he assumed office, John Mahama will be the only president to come back to the presidency after serving one term and went on opposition.
He will also be the president under the fourth republic, born after independence in 1957.
Many are optimistic about his second turner in office.
