Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Special Aide to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, has commended the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its hard work and dedication to securing a momentous victory.
In a tweet, madam Mogtari stated that the young men and women of the NDC “have all been phenomenal and worked very hard to secure this momentous victory.”
As the NDC celebrates its win, Mogtari cautions party members to be mindful of their conversations and surroundings, emphasizing the need for discretion and carefulness.
“We have suffered from these kinds of things and so we need to be careful,” she warns. “Proximity breeds all kinds of eavesdropping and sharing of same. Please, please, for emphasis and clarity, be careful what you say and whom you say to.”
“Now, it is time to focus on implementing the mandate entrusted to us for the development of Ghana and its people,” Mogtari urges. “Acta Non verba” – actions speak louder than words.
However, she has indicated that Mr. John Dramani Mahama has assured that the incoming government remains committed to women’s empowerment.
Speaking on GHOne TV with Lily Mohammed, madam Bawah reassured that the NDC would create opportunities for women in the NDC’s administration.
“The door will remain wide open. In the past, we would probably not have one. This is the apex body, we have other ministerial committees on governance and assets, so certainly there will be more names coming up in the next few days”, she added
