Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has slammed his main opponent, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), questioning his integrity to fight corruption.
Speaking at the NPP’s final rally in Legon, Dr. Bawumia emphasised that the upcoming election presents a clear choice between a former president who represents the past and himself, who embodies a brighter future for Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia posed several rhetorical questions to the audience, asking who can better unite the country’s diversity, bring innovative ideas to propel Ghana into the fourth industrial revolution, and demonstrate the integrity to fight corruption.
He also asked who has the compassion to care for the disabled, vulnerable, and sick in Ghanaian communities, asserting that Mahama lacks the integrity.
“On Saturday, the choice is between the former president who represent the past and myself. You should ask yourself, who can better unite the diversity of this country. Who can bring innovative ideas to propel Ghana into the four industrial revolutions. Who has the integrity to fight corruption in this country. Who has the compassion for the disabled, for the vulnerable, for the sick in our communities.”
