Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has announced his 23-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
The team includes three home-based players Benjamin Asare from Accra Hearts of Oak, Kamaradini Mamudu from Medeama SC, and Razak Simpson from Nations FC with Captain Jordan Ayew.
Deputy captain Thomas Partey makes his return after missing four AFCON qualifiers last year. Partey, who has over 50 caps since his 2016 debut, brings valuable experience to the squad.
The Black Stars, currently second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros. However Black Stars must secure maximum points to boost their qualification.
Ghana’s campaign started with a narrow 1-0 win over Madagascar but was derailed by a loss to Comoros. However, consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic last June reignited their hopes.
The team will gather on Monday, March 17, 2025, for a four-day training camp before taking on Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21. Following that, they will head to Morocco for a crucial clash against Madagascar on Monday, March 24.
