Deputy Agric Minster-nominee Kennedy Osei Nyarko will be vetted by the Appointment Committee of Parliament today, October 26, 2017.
Mr Osei Nyarko will replace William Quaitoo who resigned for making derogatory remarks about northerners.
The Akim Swedru MP’s nomination comes in the wake of the raging controversy over the fight against fall armyworms. Ahead of the vetting, Mr. Nyarko waded into the debate over the defeat of the armyworms.
“I know for a fact that the programmes and strategies that the Ministry put in place in fighting the fall Armyworms have worked successfully”, Mr. Nyarko told Starr News’ Parliamentary correspondent, Ibrahim Alhassan in an interview.
