Andre Ayew finally got on the score sheet for West Ham United after months in goal drought.
The Ghana international propelled his side to advance to the next stage of the English League Cup after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-2.
West Ham came from behind to pick a win at Wembley to advance in the competition.
Ayew, who was leading the attack for the visitors got a consolation in the 55th minute. The 26-year-old knocked the ball in from a rebound after Tottenham goalkeeper Vorm failed to keep Fernandes shot.
The Black Stars deputy skipper’s second goal came 5 minutes later when he was set-up by Lanzini in the six-yard box and his first-time finish nestles beautifully in the top right corner of the Spurs goal to make the scores even.
Antonio Ogbonna scored the match-winning goal for the Hammers with 20 minutes left on the clock as West Ham United progress in the Carabao Cup.
