The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) is set to award excellence amongst marketing professionals for the 34th straight year as it has launched the 34th CIMG Marketing Performance Awards.
Speaking at the launch of this year’s CIMG awards, President Daniel Kasser-Tee touted the longevity of the awards scheme in recognising and promoting outstanding marketing performance in the country
“The CIMG awards is, by far, the longest standing and credible awards ceremony in this country that has been held for over three decades, and it continues to be a cornerstone of our institute’s mandate to set standards for the practice of marketing in Ghana,” he touted
“The awards ceremony is held to, among other things, create awareness about the relevance of marketing for the success of businesses, promote higher professional marketing standards and excellence among practitioners, and to also recognize organizations for showing resilience for the year under review. This platform allows us to acknowledge the efforts and achievements of marketers who have consistently demonstrated innovation, creativity, and effectiveness in their respective fields,” he added.
Dr. Kasser-Tee also added that amidst the economic challenges, there is no better time to reward excellence in marketing to inspire others in business community.
“In today’s dynamic and highly competitive business landscape, marketers face numerous challenges, from rapidly advancing technology to shifting consumer behaviours, and macro environmental challenges, one of which we are experiencing with the unpredictable global economy. It is, therefore, imperative to honour and celebrate those who have excelled in this challenging environment. By recognising exceptional individuals, and organisations, we aim to encourage innovation, creativity, and ethical practices in the marketing profession. Despite the adversities faced, the marketing community has persevered, demonstrating remarkable resilience and ingenuity,” he said.
The 34th CIMG awards under the theme “Marketing: A Tool for Economic Recovery”, is expected to awards over 50 personalities and businesses across 6 major competitive areas namely; Hall of Fame, Personality, Media and Marketing Communications organisations, Business organisations, Products, and Not-for-Profit organisations.
