Alhaji Ishaq Dauda, the newly appointed managing director (MD) of Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited, has reaffirmed his commitment to implementing strategic reforms to revitalize the company and secure its long-term sustainability.
Since assuming office, Alhaji Dauda has been working to address key challenges confronting the company. His immediate focus has been strengthening administrative structures, streamlining operations, and improving overall efficiency.
He revealed that among the pressing issues were a shutdown of the company’s processing plant and salary arrears owed to staff, matters his administration is actively working to resolve.
He made this known when he paid a courtesy call on the Western Regional Minister, Mr. Joseph Nelson, at his office in Sekondi. The visit was to formally introduce himself and seek the minister’s support in advancing the company’s development agenda.
Alhaji Dauda also emphasized his vision of leaving the company in a better state than he met it, and expressed his determination to see that goal through.
The Western Regional Minister, in response, congratulated him on his appointment and urged him to approach the task ahead with dedication and innovation. He also assured the new MD of his full support, adding that he is confident Alhaji Dauda will inject new energy into the company and help reposition it for sustainable growth that benefits both the local community and the country at large.
