The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has assured the public that recent power interruptions in parts of Accra and Kumasi have been resolved and were not linked to load shedding.
In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Spokesperson and Director of Communication, Richmond Rockson, officials said technical teams worked overnight to restore supply to affected areas.
According to the statement, at approximately 1:00 a.m., engineers successfully fixed the fault affecting the feeder supplying Lakeside and its surrounding communities.
The Ministry added that nearly all causes of the recent power outages in Kumasi and parts of Accra, particularly Achimota, Tantra Hill, Dodowa, Tesano, and adjoining areas have been rectified.
Technical teams are currently working to address the remaining challenges in parts of Tema and Adenta.
Outside of these isolated incidents, the Ministry said “power supply across the country has remained largely stable”.
The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a reliable and consistent power supply nationwide.
