Ms Bridget Bonnie-Agbenyor, Head of Information and Public Affairs at the Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom and Ireland, has been named winner of the Social Enterprise category at the 10th edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards Ghana.

The prestigious awards ceremony, held on Saturday, 12 September 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, celebrated accomplished young Ghanaians demonstrating professional excellence, exceptional leadership and a commitment to community service.

Ms Bonnie-Agbenyor was recognised for her work as Founder of PEC Institute and Lead Coordinator of Bridget Bonnie & Friends, through which she has championed initiatives in menstrual health, education, youth mentorship and blood donation.

PEC Institute works to improve the welfare of women, girls and underserved communities. Its interventions include establishing pad banks, distributing menstrual hygiene and educational supplies, supporting improved washroom facilities in schools and mentoring young people, including girls in juvenile correctional facilities.

Through Bridget Bonnie & Friends, she has also mobilised individuals and organisations to support blood-donation exercises aimed at increasing the availability of blood for maternal healthcare and other medical emergencies.

Her recognition in the Social Enterprise category highlights the importance of using leadership, influence and available resources to address pressing social challenges.

It also serves as a reminder that building stronger communities requires collective responsibility. Everyone can contribute, whether by volunteering time, sharing expertise, donating resources or simply extending a helping hand to someone in need.

Ms Bonnie-Agbenyor’s achievement reflects her commitment to public service and her belief that meaningful change begins when people choose to act with compassion.

Congratulations to Ms Bridget Bonnie-Agbenyor on this remarkable and well-deserved honour.
