The eleventh suspect, identified as Douglas Amoako Danquah, was arrested on Monday after he was spotted being carried shoulder high in procession within the township indicating he has also been enstooled as Chief of Adombrobe.

Addressing the media on Monday, the Deputy Eastern Regional Police Commander, ACP Richard Appiah, explained that, a search conducted by the police led to the retrieval of five unregistered pump-action rifles, twenty-three live cartridges, one taser, six mobile phones, and a piece of body armour.

Two vehicles, an unregistered Ford pickup and a Toyota Corolla with registration number GE 2560-19, were also impounded.

According to police, some of the suspects were dressed in Ghana Immigration Service camouflage uniforms at the time of their arrest.

The Deputy Commander said, all suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations and arraigned before court.

The Adombrobe chieftaincy dispute stem from disagreement within the Royal family who is legitimate to be enstooled as chief.

Popular Ghanaian actor, Mikki Osei Berko, popularly known as Master Richard or Dada Boat, was installed as a chief in Adamorobe during enstoolment ceremony which took place on Friday, April 24, 2026, where he was formally introduced into traditional leadership by local authorities.

He was given the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II.

However, the opposition faction also attempted to enstool Douglas Amoako Danquah as Chief on monday excalating tension in the community hence the operation by the police.

According to the Police, it secured restraining order on the two factions from any enstoolment ceremony but both defied.

The Police say already, Mikki Osei Berko and other individuals who went ahead for his enstoolment are before Court in Akropong.

The Eastern Regional Police Command has assured residents of its commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Adambrobe and has urged all parties involved in the dispute to exercise restraint and desist from violent acts.
