Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has quadrupled Mahama’s errors – Dr. Obiri Yeboah

Speaking in an interview with Kojo Marfo on Abusua Nkommo, Dr. Obiri Yeboah asserted that the current regime has quadrupled Mahama’s errors, citing Ghana’s deteriorating economy and polluted river bodies.

He argued, “Every error, every sin, every blunder Mahama committed the current regime has committed times 4. Any sins Mahama did Akufo-Addo led government has quadrupled it”.

Dr. Obiri Yeboah, who campaigned against Mahama in 2016, was frustrated that just a few people were serious about addressing the galamsey menace.

“Nobody is speaking wisdom from adults to children to pastors. Only a few are talking about Galamsey. What happened; Is our mouth gagged? He asked with shock.

He disclosed “In 2016, I was part of those that campaigned against Mahama. I was part of some people called “Operation Adopt Polling Station”, we were having our meetings at a hotel around santasi.

“We were paying Ghc520 per polling station and I contributed because at that time, I thought the party was not doing well,” he added.

Responding to questions about the government’s handling of illegal mining, Dr. Obiri Yeboah warned that the consequences of galamsey were severe.

He argued “when someone sits there and says that ending galamsey will increase unemployment, it’s akin to arguing that armed robbers should also be tolerated because that’s their only source of livelihood.

“However, the truth remains: every form of illegality is still illegality,” he emphasized.

Dr. Obiri Yeboah asked that government uses the same gusto it used to wage war against armed robbery, to fight the illegal mining menace insisting that the activities of illegal miners is more dangerous than that of robbers.

“Our people are drinking poisoned water; it’s more dangerous than armed robbery”, he opined.
