District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atiwa East, Hon. Ernest Owusu Ntim, has held his first official stakeholder meeting with the clergy in the district with focus on bringing them on board to support the Reset Agenda of government to enhance development, transparency, and inclusivity.

The meeting which forms part of the Assembly’s broader stakeholder engagement strategy, aims at updating key stakeholders on the true state of the district, ongoing government interventions and developmental initiatives, efforts being made to fight illegal mining, both short and long term development plan for the district.

Hon. Owusu Ntim reaffirmed his commitment to participatory leadership, assuring the clergy that their perspectives will continue to guide the Assembly’s developmental agenda, and pledge that this engagement will be a norm as long as he reigns as the District Chief Executive.

The meeting also provided an open platform for the clergy to share their insights, concerns, and expectations regarding the district’s progress.

Leadership of the clergy commended the DCE for his leadership qualities and commitment to bring all stakeholders on board for the betterment of the district.

They also praised the DCE’s sustained fight against illegal mining and urged him on.

Some of the clergy however pointed out some infrastructural deficits such as poor road network, and also raised concerns over rate of school drop out, teenage pregnancy and drug abuse menace among the youth.

The Atiwa East DCE, Ernest Owusu Ntim, donated Ghc50,000 to support welfare of the clergy.
