Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has urged the Black Stars to secure maximum points in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

Ghana is set to host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00. The Black Stars will then travel to Morocco to take on Madagascar at the Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima on Monday, March 24, for their Matchday 6 fixture.

Following the team’s underwhelming recent performances, Agyemang-Badu, a member of Ghana’s 2014 World Cup squad and a U20 World Cup winner in Egypt, has called on the players to remain focused and secure victories in both matches.

“Things needs to change to the extent that for the past two years, you know how we have cried, suffered and all that, I don’t think it time for us to do blame games anymore let’s all come together, support the team because we’re in a very good standing 9points with Comoros so we need to support them get back on track”.

“This year will be operation win all games because we need to qualify for the World Cup to give something to our Ghana supporters, no time for any blame games it’s a new year and a lot of changes have been done in the management committee side and the coaching side”, Badu told GHOne TV.

However, Ghana is tied with Comoros at the top of Group I with nine points after four matches in the qualifiers, following consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) in their last two games.

The Black Stars are aiming to qualify for their fifth FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
