Since 2025, D. K. T. Djokoto & Co., expanding on its decades-old culture of collecting art and rare publications, has begun executive producing distinct music.
V. L. K. Djokoto, collaborating with adept producers Albert Kofi Dankwa and Bismark Tepeh Kwesi, art director Alfred Osom, and featuring an artwork illustration by Prince Ampofo Bonsu, as cover art, has executive produced, under D. K. T. Djokoto & Co, a fresh track titled: Coastal Therapy.
‘For the debut record, the magicians conjured a tranquil vibe — from a galaxy of instruments — to create a distinct track, rooted in the hypnotic melodies of traditional African music.’ Mr Djokoto said.
Coastal Therapy marks a milestone in the modest work of the family office’s highly-focused arts and culture department.
‘Taking a down-to-earth approach to executive production, I’m philosophically oriented towards a fine balance between futuristic alternative melodies and the age-old fundamentals of African music. And I look forward to working with avant-garde creatives, steadily developing our palette of music, on our ascent to the high plateau of creative genius.’ the cultural theorist, art collector and financier added.
