Delta United Group CEO, Mr. Sabri Rezk, donates sports equipment to Jonina Football Club through Yasmin Behzadi

In a generous act of corporate social responsibility, Mr. Sabri Rezk the CEO of Delta United Group, through business magnate and philanthropist, Yasmin Behzadi has donated a range of sports equipment to sharpen the football skills of Ghanaian-based female football club, Jonina Football Club.

The donation which aimed at promoting youth development through sports and fostering local talent within the community presented sports equipment, which includes football kits, training gear, and other essential sports items, is expected to benefit the women’s premier league female club greatly.

Mr Sabri Rezk, committed to supporting sports development, expressed his belief that the donation will provide a platform for young women footballers to hone their skills and potentially pursue careers in professional football.

Speaking at the donation, Yasmin Behzadi, who is also a member of the club’s board, emphasized the importance of supporting local initiatives that empower the youth. “Sports play a crucial role in building discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. Through this contribution, we hope to inspire the next generation of football stars in Ghana,” she said.

She also encouraged the young players to take their schooling seriously just like their football dreams.

Delta United Group and Yasmin Behzadi are strong believers that a successful future can be built by supporting young people who are enthused about their future.

The Club, known for its dedication to nurturing young female football talents, welcomed the donation with gratitude. The president and CEO of Jonina FC, John Obiri Yeboah, noted that the contribution would help improve training conditions and give players a better chance to succeed on the field. “This donation is a game-changer for us. It will allow our players to train under improved conditions and help us to achieve our long-term goals of success and development,”  he remarked.

Mr Sabri Rezk, Italian/Libyan citizen, who has worked in Rome with frequent missions to Tripoli, Milan, and Malta. During such a period, he actively participated in important negotiations with Libyan and Italian high-ranking government officials. Such negotiations, on behalf of the Libyan National Oil Corporation, are about the ENI Green stream gas-pipeline, between Libya and Sicily, and various other projects.

Yasmin Behzadi is a Dubai-based businesswoman and philanthropist whose aim is to motivate young sports personalities across Africa to pursue sports and consider being educated to compete well on the world stage.

She has consistently single-handedly supported more young African players with sports equipment for over three years. She is also known to give young football talents platforms outside of Africa.
