The world’s richest man, Elon Musk is criticizing his political ally, President Donald Trump after the two billionaires fell out over the government’s spending bill.
Mr. Musk had called Trump’s bill, which has passed the House of Representatives and now being considered by the upper chamber, the Senate, as “a disgusting abomination”.
Speaking to reporters during a meeting with German Chancellor, Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Trump indicated he was “very disappointed” with Musk’s criticism of his spending plans.
He later took to Truth Social to suggest cancelling government contracts with his ally, Musk as a means to “save money”.

Following the president’s comments, Elon Musk has announced the decommissioning of Space X’s Dragon spacecraft “immediately”.
Mr. Musk has gone further with his attacks on the president, claiming he was involved in the controversial dealings of Jeffrey Epstein, an American who took his life after being charged with sex trafficking offences.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” Mr. Musk teased on X.
The breakdown of Trump’s relationship with Elon Musk comes just days after the Tesla owner left the administration as a “special employee” as head of Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an entity charged with rooting out wastage and corruption in the federal government.
