The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for alleged acts of misconduct involving the unauthorized use of police uniforms on social media.
In a press release issued by the Public Affairs Directorate on December 16, 2025, the Service stated that the interdiction follows preliminary investigations into the officers’ conduct on various social media platforms.
The interdicted officers are G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere, G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.
According to the Police, the officers’ actions were deemed to violate professional standards governing the use of police uniforms and online conduct.
The Service noted that the officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigation and any necessary disciplinary action.
The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining professionalism, discipline, and public confidence in the Service, particularly regarding the use of social media by its personnel.
