Information gathered by Starr News indicate that the Electoral Commission office in the Fomena constituency in the Ashanti region has been set ablaze.
According to eyewitnesses some 11 armed men popularly known as ‘Macho men’ arrested and released are believed to be behind the arson attack.
Provisional results indicate that the incumbent MP Andrew Amoako Asiamah who contested the seat as an Independent candidate after he broke away from the governing party is likely to win the seat.
The NPP were hoping to wrestle the seat from the incumbent MP.
No arrest has been made yet for arson on the EC office.
