German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Accra on Sunday evening for a three-day state visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations between Ghana and Germany.
He was received at the Kotoka International Airport by Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the German Ambassador to Ghana, Frederik Landshöft.

President Steinmeier, who is accompanied by a high-level delegation, will on Monday, November 3, 2025, hold official talks with President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House.
The visit will begin with a formal welcome ceremony, including an inspection of a full military Guard of Honour at the Forecourt of the Presidency.

Following a closed-door meeting between the two leaders, their delegations will engage in bilateral discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, technology, and sustainable development.
A State Luncheon will later be hosted in honour of President Steinmeier and his delegation at the Presidential Banquet Hall.

On Tuesday, November 4, the German leader will travel to Kumasi, where he is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and participate in other engagements before departing Ghana on Tuesday evening.
