GHOne TV, through a partnership between EIB Sports and the El Wak Social Club, has officially launched the 2026 edition of the Alumni Power Games.
The launch, broadcast live on GHOne TV, brought together alumni from participating schools, executives of the El Wak Social Club, and representatives from the EIB Network, Ginklat, and Decathlon.

Chief Executive Officer of EIB Network, Bola Ray, underscored the broader vision behind the initiative, stressing that the competition goes beyond sports.
“The games are a platform for alumni to network and give back to their various schools,” he said.

Ezra Oduro, Head of Commercial at EIB Network, highlighted the mentorship and character-building dimension of the event.
He explained that the Games will also serve as an avenue to instill discipline and sportsmanship in students, helping shape them into responsible athletes.

Representatives from participating schools, including Holy Child School, Accra Academy, Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary, Koforidua Secondary Technical School, and Mawuli School, expressed enthusiasm and readiness ahead of the competition.

The 2026 Alumni Power Games are scheduled for March 28 at the El Wak Social Centre and are open to all high school alumni.

Organisers say the event promises a vibrant blend of competition, camaraderie, and community impact, reinforcing the role of sports in strengthening alumni ties and supporting educational institutions.
