The Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Abubakari II, has sent a high-powered delegation to the residence of Education Minister and Tamale South MP, Haruna Iddrisu, to check on his health following a recent accident.
The visit comes after Mr. Iddrisu was involved in an accident in recent days, prompting concern from the Dagbon traditional authority.
The delegation, led by the Paramount Chief of Zangbalun, Naa Dr. Yakubu Mahama, conveyed the Ya-Naa’s goodwill, prayers, and concern for the Minister’s recovery, describing him as a key figure in Ghana’s education sector.
They urged him to prioritise his health, stressing that “Ghana’s children need their Education Minister well and focused,” while praying for his full and speedy recovery.
Mr. Iddrisu expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a show of solidarity and compassion, and thanked the Dagbon Kingdom for its support during his recovery.
The visit highlights the strong bond between traditional leadership and public office, reflecting shared values of unity, empathy, and national service.
