I see Bawumia as a vessel that God is going to use to transform this nation – Pastor declares

Pastor Alexander King Doku of the Pursuit and Service to God Ministries has expressed a firm belief in a divine task for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as a man destined to lead the transformation of Ghana.

Speaking at the University of Ghana on Friday, August 9, during a review and reading of the book “Dr. Bawumia and the Modern Vice Presidency of Ghana” by Prof. Etse Sikanku, Pastor Doku also eulogised Dr. Bawumia for his personality, impact as Vice President in the last seven years, and his technology-focused vision for the country, which he said is what the youth and the country need for transformation.

Pastor Doku said he has been observing Dr. Bawumia and his works over the years and has seen that God will use him to change the country.

“I see Bawumia as a vessel that God is going to use to transform this nation. I have observed Dr. Bawumia from afar and I am here to speak about the values and principles he represents,” the pastor said.

“Dr. Bawumia is very innovative and where the world is going, a digitalised and modernised Ghanaian society is what will transform the Ghanaian society and move the country forward. This is what he believes in.”

Pastor Alexander also spoke highly of Dr. Bawumia as an inspiring figure for the youth, for many reasons he shared.

“Dr. Bawumia represents a new mind who is leading the Ghanaian dream, thereby opening the doors for us to experience the Ghanaian opportunities,” he said.

“Young people in Ghana have to build a certain mindset and Bawumia represents that mindset. That is a mindset of possibilities, which is important for every young person in Ghana. No matter where you are and no matter where you are from, you should believe that it is possible to achieve your dreams with hard work and the right attitude.”

“For the young people, Bawumia represents an inspiration for every young man because he is hardworking. He would not be here if he was not hardworking. He has shown that wherever he has worked. From Bank of Ghana to running mate to Vice President and now Flagbearer. He has shown hard work.

“He is also very compassionate, and in supporting him, I want to urge all of you, the young ones, to learn from him and be hardworking and innovative in whatever you do, and also be compassionate to all.”

The pastor also lauded the personality traits of Dr. Bawumia, agreeing with the book, which identified the humble, compassionate, and honest traits of the Vice President.

“Despite what God has done for him by lifting him up to be the second gentleman of the land, Dr. Bawumia is still humble enough to identify with people who are at the lowest point of society.

“All these things I am saying are my personal testimonies. I am a pastor and I am very sincere and honest about what I have observed about Bawumia. I believe strongly he has what it takes to move Ghana forward. I believe he is the one Ghanaians should support to be our next leader,” said the pastor.

He added, “I don’t know anybody politically. But I am a man of conviction and deep down in my heart, I believe strongly that Dr. Bawumia is a vessel for a transformative Ghana that we are all looking for.”
