I’ll do ten times what Nkrumah did for Ghana – Kofi Akpaloo

Kofi Akpaloo, founder and flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), says he will do ten times better than the stunning legacy of Ghana’s first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah should he win the presidential elections in December.

Speaking to Julius Caesar Anadem on Ultimate FM’s Cup Of Tea; He claimed he would outperform the nation’s first president, insisting, “If I get the opportunity, I will do far better than Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. His time has passed; he has done his part. I will do 10 times better.”

Akpaloo who once established a microfinance company and a school that have all collapsed touted his ability to provide transformational leadership, never experienced in the history of Ghana.

He challenged Ghanaians to put him to the test on the pressing issue of illegal mining (galamsey), pledging to solve the age-long action in one week, with swift action.

“This galamsey issue? I will solve it within a week. Collective investment is the key. We are poor because we work individually. When we come together, we build synergy and a driving force,” he asserted.

Touching on former President John Agyekum Kuffuor’s recent endorsement of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Akpaloo defended the remarks, explaining, “Kuffuor is an NPP man. You don’t expect him to say otherwise. It would have been absurd for him to support someone else.”

He went on to dismiss the outburst of presidential candidate Allan Kyerematen who has gone ballistic insisting the former president who once endorsed him (Allan) as a favorite to lead the NPP into victory, got it wrong endorsing Dr Bawumia whose credentials he felt came nowhere close to his.

Mr. Akpaloo argued, “Alan has been pampered. He has never seen poverty, so he feels entitled.”

Mr. Akpaloo discounted the concerns that drove Allan to break away from the governing NPP to contest for Presidency under the Movement For Change reducing it to disloyalty.

With bold claims, sweeping promises, and an unshakeable faith in his vision, Kofi Akpaloo has positioned himself as a candidate of conviction and controversy.

As the elections draw closer, Ghanaians will ultimately decide if his vision aligns with their aspirations.
