Two iconic voices of African music are set to share one stage in London as Ghanaian music legend Kojo Antwi and Ivorian music star Meiway, prepare for a special live concert.

The highly anticipated event is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Wood Green Dominion Centre, Wood Green, London N22 6DS, with the programme beginning at 6 p.m.

The Maestro Kojo will not only entertain his fans, but he will also take the opportunity to sign his memoir, ‘Mr Music Man: The Journey’, for the fans and admirers in London on the night.

Organised and presented by Davision Events, the concert is expected to bring together lovers of African music, culture and heritage for a night celebrating two of the continent’s most influential musical figures.

Kojo Antwi, widely celebrated for his distinctive music has enjoyed a remarkable career spanning several decades.

His music has earned him a devoted following in Ghana and across the African diaspora, with his songs continuing to resonate with audiences of different generations.

Joining him on the London stage is Ivorian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Meiway, one of the major figures associated with the development and international popularity of Côte d’Ivoire’s Zoblazo music style.

The pairing of the two legends promises a musical encounter that cuts across national and linguistic boundaries, bringing together Ghanaian highlife and Ivorian musical traditions on one stage.

The organisers say the event is designed not only as a concert but also as a celebration of African identity and the rich cultural heritage of the continent.
Under the theme of bringing African culture together, the event is being promoted as “Two Icons of African Soil, One Night on a Different Continent.”

Fans in London and surrounding communities are expected to turn out in large numbers to experience live performances from two musicians whose careers have helped shape the African music landscape.

The evening is expected to feature legendary songs, live entertainment and a celebration of African culture, with the organisers promising an unforgettable night of music, culture and heritage.

For the African diaspora in the United Kingdom, the concert also presents an opportunity to reconnect with the sounds and traditions of home while celebrating the enduring influence of African music on the international stage.

With Kojo Antwi representing Ghana and Meiway bringing the rich musical heritage of Côte d’Ivoire, all roads lead to the Wood Green Dominion Centre on Saturday, September 5, at 6 p.m. for what is expected to be a memorable night with two African music legends.
