First Lady of Ghana, Lordina Mahama, has described her meeting with Zambian First Lady, Mutinta Hichilema, as “inspiring and enriching,” highlighting the importance of cross-border collaboration among women leaders.
Speaking from Lusaka, where she accompanies President John Dramani Mahama on his three-day state visit to Zambia, Mrs. Mahama said their discussion was “a beautiful display of cross-border sisterhood and collaboration” as they shared insights on ongoing initiatives and explored ways to support each other’s work.

She also shared stories about the impact of her Lordina Foundation and praised her Zambian counterpart for her commitment to public service.
“I was delighted to share the impactful stories and work of the Lordina Foundation, and I was equally inspired by her own commitment to serving her people,” she said.

Mrs. Mahama emphasized the broader significance of such interactions, noting that “when women leaders unite across borders, we will amplify our impact and create lasting change for our communities.”
The meeting comes amid President Mahama’s official engagements in Zambia, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Zambia.
