President John Dramani Mahama will undertake an official visit to France on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron.
During the visit, President Mahama will attend the 2026 One Health Summit in Lyon before holding bilateral talks with President Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
He is expected to deliver two keynote addresses during the summit. The first will be at a meeting on global health architecture, co-chaired by President Macron and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the World Health Organization, where participants will discuss reforms to global health initiatives and endorse a political declaration on strengthening international health cooperation.

The second keynote address will be delivered at the opening of the high-level segment for heads of state and government, where President Mahama will outline Ghana’s commitments and perspectives on global health security.
President Mahama, founder of the Accra Reset Initiative, will co-chair the high-level segment of the summit alongside President Macron on Tuesday. The summit will bring together world leaders, health ministers, and global health experts to deliberate on issues related to global health systems, sustainable food production, and strategies to address health challenges.
On Wednesday, April 8, President Mahama will proceed to the Élysée Palace for a bilateral meeting with President Macron. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening Ghana–France relations and exploring cooperation in areas including health, education, trade, investment, and regional security.

Prior to the meeting, President Mahama will be received by Gérard Larcher at the Senate House.
President Mahama is expected to return to Accra shortly after the meeting.
