President John Dramani Mahama’s job approval rating has held steady at 67%, according to the latest National Tracking Poll by Global InfoAnalytics.
The December 2025 survey indicates that nearly seven in ten Ghanaians approve of the president’s performance, while 24% disapprove, marking a slight two-point increase from the previous quarter. About nine percent of respondents had no opinion.
The poll shows President Mahama enjoys majority support across all 16 regions, including traditional strongholds of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), highlighting broad national backing nearly a year into his administration.
However, partisan divides remain pronounced. Approval among NPP supporters stands at just 28%, with 61% disapproving, while 93% of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters approve. Floating voters also show strong support, with 69% endorsing the president’s performance.
Overall, 66% of Ghanaians believe the country is heading in the right direction, with public optimism largely driven by perceptions of improving economic conditions, governance, and anti-corruption efforts.
The survey was conducted between December 1 and December 21, 2025, through web, telephone, and face-to-face interviews, sampling 13,495 voters nationwide. The poll carries a 99% confidence level with a margin of error of ±1.1%.
