As part of activities marking the 2025 National Youth Festival, President John Dramani Mahama will host a special Presidential Dialogue with young people on August 12, which also coincides with International Youth Day.
The interactive session will bring together youth representatives from across the country to engage directly with the President on matters affecting their development, participation in governance, and future aspirations.
Announcing the event at the official launch of the festival, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, described the dialogue as a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to youth engagement.
“August 12th holds special significance as it will feature a Presidential Dialogue; an interactive session between His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and youth representatives,” Mr. Ayariga said. “This initiative reflects our belief that Ghana’s youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the changemakers of today.”
The Presidential Dialogue is expected to serve as a high-level platform for young people to share their ideas, concerns, and policy suggestions directly with the country’s leadership.

Osman Ayariga urged the media, civil society, and other stakeholders to help amplify youth voices ahead of the August 12 event and beyond, saying, “When we ignite the potential of our youth, we inspire change that ripples through communities, transforms lives, and propels our nation forward.”
