Manchester City has booked their spot in the Carabao Cup final, defeating Newcastle United 3-1, with Ghanaian forward, Antoine Semenyo, playing a key role in the victory.
Semenyo, who joined City in January, is set to make history as the first Ghanaian player to reach the Carabao Cup final since Michael Essien with Chelsea in 2007.
Omar Marmoush scored twice in the first half, with Tijjani Reijnders adding a third before Newcastle pulled one back through Anthony Elanga. Semenyo’s impressive performance created chances and showcased his skills.

City will face Arsenal at Wembley on March 22, with Pep Guardiola’s side aiming to lift their ninth Carabao Cup title. Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, are seeking their first major trophy since 2020.
