Police have arrested a 22-year-old man, identified as Kweku, for allegedly sodomising a 7-year-old boy, Calib Takyi at Mankessim in the Central Region.
The incident took place in broad daylight in the Nananom area of Mankessim.
According to the victim’s father, Francis Takyi, in an interview with GHOne News, he was called while returning from church and informed that the suspect had been caught in the act.

When Mr. Takyi arrived at the location, he confirmed that Kweku admitted to the offense, and was therefore apprehended by the police.
The suspect is currently in custody at the Mankessim Jedu Divisional Police Command, awaiting court proceedings.
The child was taken to Roman Hospital for medical evaluations and was later referred to Cape Coast for more thorough examinations.
This case has garnered media attention, with reports confirming the arrest and the ongoing investigation.
