In a music landscape increasingly shaped by authenticity and emotional depth, MEAK is steadily carving out his place as an Afro-fusion artist driven by purpose, storytelling, and lived experience.

His debut single, “Far Away,” set to be released on February 13, 2026, marks the beginning of a focused new chapter, with a follow-up single scheduled for April 2026 and an EP planned for release later in the year.

MEAK’s journey into music began quietly. Rather than an immediate public pursuit, music served as a personal escape; an outlet for expressing thoughts and emotions that were difficult to articulate. Through observation, listening, and self-expression, what started as a private process gradually revealed itself as something more than a hobby. Over time, MEAK recognised music as a calling.

A turning point came when listeners began to connect deeply with his songs. People related to the lyrics and shared how the music reflected their own emotions. That response affirmed the impact of his voice and showed him that music could move people beyond entertainment.

Like many emerging artists, MEAK’s journey has not been without challenges. One of the most significant was navigating growth without immediate visibility or resources. He faced moments of uncertainty, learning to balance patience with persistence while refining both his sound and artistic identity.

MEAK’s partnership with Duty World Records developed organically, grounded in mutual respect and shared creative values. The label connected with his sound, vision, and long-term potential, forming a relationship centred on artistic growth rather than quick outcomes. What stood out to MEAK was the label’s respect for creative authenticity. Instead of reshaping his identity, Duty World Records supported his direction, offering structure, guidance, and belief in his vision.

Being under a label has influenced MEAK’s approach to music, encouraging greater focus and intentionality. The experience has strengthened his discipline, refined his creative process, and elevated the quality of his work, while preserving the emotional honesty that defines his sound.

His debut single, “Far Away,” reflects that artistic clarity. The song is inspired by the desire to escape environments that limit romance and emotional freedom. It explores the idea of choosing peace and tranquillity over remaining in spaces where love feels constrained. Through the theme of “fleeing and going,” MEAK presents movement as a remedy; imagining love in a place untouched by noise, fear, or expectation, where it can breathe and blossom freely.

Blending personal emotion with spiritual introspection, “Far Away” allows listeners to interpret its meaning through their own experiences. Sonically, the track is atmospheric, soulful, and introspective, rooted in Afro-fusion with a modern, emotionally layered sound. MEAK chose it as his first major release under the label because it clearly represents his artistic identity; emotionally honest, refined, and purposeful.

The song emerged from a reflective songwriting process, followed by studio sessions focused on capturing mood and authenticity. MEAK worked with a trusted production team that shared his creative vision, allowing space for expression while maintaining sonic clarity.

“Far Away” signals a new phase in MEAK’s career, one defined by clarity, growth, and artistic confidence. Looking ahead, he is preparing a follow-up single scheduled for April 2026, alongside consistent releases, visuals, and performances. He is also working on an EP planned for release later in the year, which will further explore the themes and storytelling introduced in his debut.

As his journey unfolds, MEAK remains grounded in patience and authenticity. His message to supporters is one of gratitude for listening, believing, and growing with the journey, while aspiring musicians are encouraged to stay patient, stay authentic, and trust the process, understanding that real growth takes time.
