Celebrated broadcaster Frederick Akadi, widely known as Mr Berry, has been honored with the Drive Time Presenter of the Year award at the 15th edition of the Foklex Media Awards held on Saturday night in Accra.

The event which commenced around 8:00 PM, assembled top media personalities, broadcasters and industry stakeholders from across the country to recognize outstanding contributions to Ghana’s media landscape.

Mr. Berry, host of Ultimate Drive on Ultimate 106.9 FM, earned the prestigious recognition following years of dedication, consistency and growth within the radio industry.

His broadcasting career started in 2013 at Mighty FM in Asante Mampong, where he developed his passion for radio presentation and audience engagement. He later joined Storm FM in Sunyani in 2017, taking up roles as both mid-morning and after-drive show host.

Driven by his desire to grow in the industry, he moved to Fabea FM in Nkoranza in 2019 as drive time host before joining Ultimate FM in Kumasi in 2021 to lead the station’s flagship evening program, Ultimate Drive.

Over the years, Mr. Berry has become known for his energetic presentation style, strong listener connection and commitment to quality broadcasting, making him one of the notable voices on radio in Ghana.

Reacting to the award, Mr. Berry expressed appreciation to the EIB Network Kumasi Cluster management, his colleagues, listeners and supporters for believing in his vision and supporting his journey throughout the years.

The award marks another significant achievement in his broadcasting career and further cements his growing influence within Ghana’s media industry.
