Broadcast journalist and host of The Morning Starr on Starr 103.5 FM, Naa Dedei Tettey, has been named Radio Newscaster of the Year (English Language) at the 15th GoldBond RTP Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony took place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Accra International Conference Centre, bringing together key figures in Ghana’s media and creative industry to celebrate excellence in broadcasting.
Naa Dedei Tettey received the honour after being nominated in two competitive categories at the 2025 edition of the awards, Best Radio Morning Show Host of the Year and Radio Newscaster of the Year (English Language). Her win in the newscaster category highlights her consistency, credibility, and authority in radio journalism.

She currently hosts The Morning Starr on Starr 103.5 FM and holds the distinction of being the only female host of an English-language morning show on radio in Accra, a milestone that continues to position her as a trailblazer in Ghana’s broadcast space.

Naa Dedei is a graduate of the University of Ghana, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and French. She also holds a Diploma in French from CEBELAE at the Université d’Abomey-Calavi. Beyond the newsroom, her commitment to learning, mentorship, and social advocacy has been evident through her involvement in initiatives such as breast-cancer awareness campaigns under the Women of Valour platform.
