In a remarkable show of community development and security commitment, Dr. Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie in collaboration with the Dadaba Group and with the assistance of Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, has built and donated a police station to the Ghana Police Service.
The newly commissioned Koforidua Technical University Police Station, situated in the Adweso District of Koforidua, was inaugurated on February 12, 2025, in a ceremony attended by guests of honor and community members.

Dr. Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie—visionary leader and philanthropist—has been dedicated to changing people’s lives through his life-changing initiatives in Ghana. He understood the need for security in a nation, and thus, he started a process to lay the foundation of the KTU Police Station to enhance law enforcement within the Adweso District and its environs. It’s his heartfelt belief that safety and security are the very foundation of progress and prosperity.

The Commissioning Ceremony
This was a very important day where the commissioning ceremony was of value and had the presence of all the stakeholders of consequence. In the august presence of the following dignitaries: Deputy IGP COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, representing the Ghana Police Service. Prof. John Owusu, Vice-Chancellor, Koforidua Technical University. *DCOP Emmanuel Twumasi-Ankrah, who joined in celebrating this milestone. Dr. Kodie emphasized that the police station should be a symbol of unity in working together—the community and the police in the fight against crime. He said, *”This is not just a building. This is a sign of our collective desire to create a better and more secure environment for everybody. I am honored to contribute to this cause and may this be the beginning of greater things in our district.” Features of the KTU Police Station
The new police station was built with modern machinery and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ghana Police Service. The facilities include: State-of-the-art communication systems to enhance response time comfortable and safe holding facilities for suspects. Special offices for officers to go about their duties Human-friendly rooms where they can have a chat with the police This was all possible through the collaborative efforts of: • Dadaba Group, a construction firm that built the station. Honorable Michael Okyere Baafi’s support and advocacy have been very instrumental in bringing the project to fruition. The Koforidua Technical University, named after the facility, is a symbolic institution that emphasizes the close relationship between education and security.
The station is to be a construed change agent in the District of Adweso and beyond. Fundamentally, it will enhance the ability for the prevention of and response to crime Build Trust and Collaboration between the Police and the Public. It shall sit as a reference point around matters of security education and awareness. Dr. Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie’s donation to the KTU Police Station is a testament to his dedication to nation-building and community empowerment. This initiative not only addresses immediate security needs but also sets a precedent for private-sector involvement in public service.
