The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has successfully concluded a high-level, three-day workshop designed to review and enhance the training manual for the government’s flagship employment and enterprise initiative, the Adwumawura Programme.

The workshop brought together a broad coalition of stakeholders from various sectors to contribute insights, expertise and practical recommendations to ensure the final training curriculum is robust, inclusive and tailored to meet the evolving needs of Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The collaborative process was guided by NEIP’s strategic objective of equipping Ghanaian youth, start-up founders and small business owners with practical, future-ready skills that can lead to sustainable job creation and economic empowerment.

On the final day, participants focused on reviewing, validating, and refining the training modules that will form the core of the Adwumawura Training Manual. These modules cover key areas such as business ideation, financial literacy, digital marketing, product development, pitch preparation, and access to funding.

Presentation of the Revised Training Framework: NEIP and its technical team presented a new framework that reflects the needs of different learner segments, from early-stage entrepreneurs to youth in rural and underserved areas.

Speaking to the media at the close of the workshop, NEIP Chief Executive Officer Eric Adjei reiterated the agency’s commitment to rolling out a world-class entrepreneurship training programme under the Adwumawura brand.

“At NEIP, we believe that entrepreneurship is the key to unlocking the full potential of our youth and building a resilient local economy. This workshop is part of our broader mission to ensure that every Ghanaian entrepreneur—regardless of background—has access to high-quality, practical training that can drive real change,” he said.

He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of all stakeholders and expressed optimism that the enhanced training manual will serve as a national benchmark for entrepreneurship development.

The refined Adwumawura Training Manual is expected to be rolled out in upcoming training cohorts across all regions of Ghana. NEIP plans to work closely with local trainers, business incubators, and partner organizations to ensure seamless implementation and wide reach.

As Ghana continues to prioritize innovation, job creation, and private sector growth, initiatives like Adwumawura will play a critical role in building the entrepreneurial capacity needed to transform local communities and drive inclusive development.
