The Omenaa Foundation has officially opened its Sport & Art Campus in Tema, Ghana, to drive a major initiative focused on sports, healthcare, education, and the arts while creating opportunities for young people and the local community.
The grand opening ceremony, held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, brought together prominent personalities from Ghana, Poland, and around the world, including sporting legends, traditional leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, and industry leaders. Ghanaian footballers Asamoah Gyan, Baffour Gyan, Daniel Opare and Jerry Akaminko were among the notable guests, alongside basketball legends Martin Gortat and Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Nigerian DJ and philanthropist DJ Cuppy also attended and provided musical entertainment for the occasion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Omenaa Mensah, founder of the Omenaa Foundation, Kids Haven and the Sport & Art Campus, said her personal sporting journey inspired the project.”Growing up in Poland, I joined a basketball team at the age of nine. The sport gave me strength and resilience and taught me the importance of teamwork and hard work. Art is another important pillar we want to introduce into our ecosystem. These two disciplines are at the heart of this campus,” she said.
Her husband, Polish entrepreneur Rafal Brzoska, said the project grew from a community established to support Kids Haven School and improve the quality of education through sports and the arts.
Mensah said the facility would serve the Tema community, children at Kids Haven School and provide a platform for entrepreneurs, successful artists and influential sporting personalities to interact and inspire young people.
She described the initiative as a holistic project bringing together people committed to making the world a better place.
Brzoska also highlighted its potential to strengthen business and cultural relations between Ghana and Poland, describing the initiative as an opportunity to build bridges between Europe and Africa
The campus features a football turf, basketball court, tennis court, dedicated art spaces and more. Its art programme will be led by Natalia Bradbury, with renowned curator Azu Nwagbogu also attending the launch.
A clinic will operate under the Doctor’s Room Project, led by Vanessa Mensah, adding healthcare to the campus’s development objectives.
Father Piotr Wojnarowski, director of Don Bosco Fambul in Sierra Leone, also attended and shared the story behind the project’s beginnings.
Mensah disclosed that more than 65 entrepreneurs from Central and Eastern Europe travelled to Ghana for the opening, highlighting the project’s ambition to connect philanthropy, art and business.
The campus is expected to become a centre for collaboration, creativity and youth development in Tema.
