The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expanded the Black Stars’ technical team with five new additions, signaling a strong intent to succeed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The new appointees will support Head Coach Otto Addo in various specialized roles.
- Alain Ravera (Assistant Coach): French football tactician with experience in Guinea and AS Monaco.
- Kim Lars Björkegren (Assistant Coach): Current head coach of the Black Queens, leading them to a bronze medal at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
- José Daniel Martínez Alfonso (Scouting and Performance Analyst): Spanish specialist with expertise in scouting and analysis, currently with Atlanta United FC.
- Carlos Lozano Romero (Team Physiotherapist): A familiar face, returning to the Black Stars after serving at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
- Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi (Performance Coach): British-born Ghanaian expert focused on physical conditioning and player performance.
The GFA’s move aims to equip the Black Stars with the necessary resources to make a significant impact at the 2026 World Cup, where they’ll face Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L.
