The Deputy Constituency Secretary for Amenfi Central, Peter Amponsah says the petition to disqualify Dr. Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has no merit and standing.

In a statement jointly signed by the Deputy Constituency, Peter Amponsah indicated that Mrs. Cudjoeo has good plans and vision for the good people of Amenfi central and the entire NDC constituents.

“We the concerned Executives of the Amenfi Central constituency are sending a strong message to the National Executive Committee and the Appeals committee that We need Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe in the upcoming parliamentary  primaries in the Amenfi Central Constituency.

“We are of the strong belief that Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe qualifies to contest in the upcoming elections.  We reiterate that Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe is a woman of Integrity and has respect for the ordinary people and the constituents in the constituency as a whole. Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe is really helping a lot of people in the constituency and the people of Amenfi central want to enjoy her leadership,” Mr. Amponsah stated.

He continued: “However, we have information that the Appeals committee in a statement indicated that the entire Constituency Executives petitioned the vetting committee against Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe candidature.

“We are  by this release informing all the National Executive Committee ,Regional Executive Committee, the Vetting Committee, the Appeals committee, the constituents and the good people of Amenfi central Constituency that there is no Day, Time, Venue and  moment has the constituency executives met to discuss issues affecting the candidature of Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe.”

Mr. Amponsah further stated that they are writing to display our displeasure about that petition against Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe.

“We want to state categorically that, it’s a section of the Amenfi Central Executives comprising of the Chairman, Secretary and organizer due to their hatred for Dr. Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe and who in their own way without the prior knowledge of the entire Constituency Executives petitioned the Vetting committee on the candidature of Dr Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe.

“The constituency executive committee has no hands in the so-called petition and we urge the Appeals committee to disregard such a petition and treat it as one that has no merit and Standing.”
