The Ghana Police Service has retrieved the vehicle reportedly used in the 2024 Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery, as authorities continue investigations to identify all individuals involved.
Three suspects have already been arrested in connection with the high-profile heist. Police say the suspects are assisting with inquiries to determine their level of involvement and to trace additional accomplices.
The robbery occurred when four heavily armed and masked men targeted a man in a red Toyota Corolla near the bustling Adabraka market.
Witnesses described how the assailants fired several shots into the air, forcing shoppers and traders to take cover before seizing large sacks of cash and fleeing the scene.
Residents in the area have called on law enforcement to maintain a stronger presence to prevent similar attacks and ensure public safety.
Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohunu reiterated the police’s commitment to apprehending all perpetrators and strengthening security in high-risk areas.
