The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George is confident of garnering 100,000 votes in the upcoming December polls.

The lawmaker who submitted his nomination forms at the Electoral Office in Miotso today, September 13, 2024, was full of confidence that his constituents will give him and former President John Dramani Mahama a massive endorsement in the polls.

Speaking to Starr News after successfully filing his nominations, he expressed confidence that the party will retain the seat.

“The focus and the target is to ensure that we get as close to 100,000 as possible. We won the last election with almost a 30,000 margin and this time we want to make sure that the margin is as big as it has ever been. And that’s our focus and that’s our target. So it’s a lot of work.”

“We have about nine and a half weeks to the elections. We are committed to ensuring that Ningo-Prampram remains a no-go area. So long as the lion is in charge, it remains a no-go area for anybody, especially the New Patriotic Party. In the last election, we got about 50,000 votes and the margin was almost 30,000. And so this time we’re seeing how close we can get. But definitely, I am confident this is going to be our biggest victory ever in the history of Ningo-Prampram.”

Sam George who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Vera George, along with Constituency and Branch Executives and party supporters also urged Ghanaians to back the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in order to end what he described as the ineffective governance of the Nana Addo-Bawumia administration. He criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for lacking innovative solutions to ease the hardships faced by Ghanaians, claiming that a vote for the NPP would only lead to more suffering.

The MP encouraged his constituents to cast their votes decisively for both himself and former President John Dramani Mahama and stressed that their leadership would “Reset Ghana” and steer the nation towards growth, prosperity, and development.

Mr. George also issued a stern warning to the government against any plans to sell the Saglemi Housing Project.

In the 2020 elections, Sam George secured his position with a total of 48,661 votes, representing 69.8% of the valid votes cast.
