Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale, is set to embark on a special legacy project in honour of veteran highlife musician Agya Koo Nimo, following the latter’s heartfelt wish to meet him before his passing.

The touching moment came to public attention after a viral video surfaced showing Agya Koo Nimo expressing a desire to meet Shatta Wale. The video sparked emotional reactions across the music industry and among fans.

Speaking in an interview with Feeling Daddy on The Starr Showbiz, Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, confirmed that the request has deeply moved Shatta and inspired the team to begin plans for a meaningful collaboration with the legendary musician.

“Shatta is very excited about it,” Sammy Flex said. “Over the years, many people have painted a certain picture about Shatta Wale. So for someone like Agya Koo Nimo, a respected and accomplished figure in our music industry to express such admiration is a powerful moment for all of us in the SM camp.”

According to Sammy Flex, the intention goes far beyond a simple meeting or gesture. The team is currently in discussions about creating a legacy project that will honour Agya Koo Nimo in a way that reflects his impact on Ghanaian music and culture.

“What we’re planning goes beyond a donation. We want to do something that will be part of the legacy this great man has built,” he explained. “Shatta Wale would never show up empty-handed. But more importantly, we want whatever we do to carry on even after the legend is gone.”

He also acknowledged the role of media personalities like Kafui Dey and Ashis, who facilitated contact between the two musicians. “Kafui Dey actually made it possible for them to speak over the phone. Shatta called me immediately after the conversation to share how honoured and excited he felt,” Sammy Flex revealed.

He added that although the full details of the project are still being finalised, the team is committed to doing something meaningful. “When the time is right and preparations are complete, the rest of the world will hear about it.”
