Breast cancer is an important and deeply concerning health issue affecting millions of women worldwide. In recent years, a curious belief has circulated suggesting that breastfeeding, or the act of “sucking” or squeezing of the breasts by men, can prevent breast cancer.
However, health advocate and professional nurse Elizabeth N.K.T Botchway, has strongly debunked this myth, highlighting the importance of separating fact from fiction in discussions about breast health.
In an interview with Natalia on the Zone on Starr Fm, the health professional dismissed the notion and emphasized that there is no scientific evidence supporting the idea that men sucking women’s breasts has any preventive effect on breast cancer.
She further expressed her frustration with the myth, opining that it is baseless and therefore should not be taken seriously.
“no amount of sucking and squeezing can prevent breast cancer. It’s never true that sucking breasts prevents breast cancer.”
