StarLife Assurance has provided free health screening services to about 400 people in Accra and Kumasi as part of activities marking this year’s Customer Service Week.
The exercise, held on Thursday, October 8, took place at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service in Accra and Kumasi Central Prison, extending access to basic health assessments to workers, prison officers, inmates and other members of the public.
The screenings covered cholesterol levels, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, malaria, blood sugar and eye health, enabling participants to assess their health status and identify conditions that might require further medical attention.
StarLife Assurance collaborated with medical officers from Grace Anchor Medical Centre in Accra and Prima Medical Centre in Kumasi to conduct the exercise at the two locations.
Speaking on the initiative, Edwina Holm-Nortey, Supervisor of Customer Experience and Digital Operations at StarLife Assurance, said the company’s approach to customer service extended beyond its core life insurance offerings.
“At StarLife, we believe that delivering exceptional customer service goes beyond providing quality life insurance solutions. It also means demonstrating genuine care for the well-being of our clients and the communities we serve,” she said.
She added that the company was pleased to partner with the two medical centres to make essential health checks accessible to more people.
The outreach formed part of StarLife Assurance’s efforts to demonstrate its client-first approach during Customer Service Week, combining service excellence with community-focused health initiatives.
Through the exercise, the company sought to promote health awareness, encourage disease prevention and support informed decisions about personal well-being.
The initiative also reflects StarLife Assurance’s commitment to strengthening relationships with its clients and contributing to healthier communities through activities that extend beyond its insurance services.
