Starr woman project 3 comes off tonight in grand style

The third and the final edition of Starr Woman Project for the year 2016 comes off tonight, November 18, 2016 at the Alisa Swiss Spirit Hotel from 6pm to 9pm.
The ‘Starr Woman Project’; an offshoot of the mid-morning show <b>‘The Zone’ on Starr 103.5 FM</b> seeks to equip young female entrepreneurs with the requisite knowledge and motivation to propel them to achieve their full potentials.

Two successful editions have been held already. The maiden edition which took place in April 2016 focused on the theme “Getting the Basics Right as A Young Female Entrepreneur” with stakeholders elaborating on issues relating to women empowerment.

The second edition, which was themed “Standing out as a young woman entrepreneur” hosted hundreds of women entrepreneurs at the Alisa Swiss Spirit Hotel, North Ridge and graced by successful women entrepreneurs namely; Claudia Lumour, founder Glitz Fashion Magazine, Anita Erskine, Presenter and Entrepreneur, Whitney Boakye-Mensah, CEO Innovations Events WBM and Caritas Aryee, CEO Go Digital who took participants through various topics which include:

Importance of Personal Branding
• Your choice of a life Partner and how it affects your business
• Social media for modern business
• Combining Motherhood and Entrepreneurship

 

 

 

 

The third edition will focus on topics from influential women which includes:

Thelma Tawiah- COO ENS AFRICA

A consummate professional with over ten years’ experience in law practice management in Ghana spanning strategy, business development, compliance, risk management and operations.

A barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana with experience in corporate commercial, capital markets, energy, banking, project finance, tax, governance and commercial dispute resolution.

Sacha Okoh- CEO SO Aesthetic Make up Company

Sacha Okoh is the founder of So Aesthetic Make-Up and also a professional make-up artist. Her products simply work for all Ghanaian women of color taking into consideration climate conditions and the kinds of colors and shades that suit the dark skin of Ghanaians.

Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie- Deputy Minister, Tourism, culture & Creative arts

She is the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. She is a veteran actress and has a great personality, probably the only actress who had MPhil in her field. She was voted by Mr. Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng as “His Person for the Year 2014” because of her support for the arts in Ghana. She was the CEO of Mama’s Kitchen where she served quality foods. She is a queen mother in charge of protocol in the Aflao Traditional Area. She a good writer and poetess. She is beautiful, African, motherly and fashionable.

Michelle Attoh- CEO Emerge Advertising

Most people remember Michelle from the 90’s hit TV series Ultimate Paradise and later as a part of South African drama, Egoli. She owns and runs Emerge one of the best advertising firms in Ghana

Nana Aba Anamoah- Journalist/ Entrepreneur

Nana Aba is a broadcaster with the EIB Network. Currently she is the host of the Current affairs TV show “State of Affairs” on GHone TV. She also own and runs a journalism and media training School; SN Media Learning Tree.

These influential women will speak on topics which include:

 

  1. Balancing your entrepreneurial dream and your current job  – Nana Aba Anamoah
  2. Dressing the part- Hon. Dzifa Gomashie
  3. Personal development as a female entrepreneur  – Thelma Tawiah

This edition will offer patrons the opportunity to meet most influential women and to learn valuable tactics to help realize their potential as a Starr woman.
